What Patients Are Saying About Counterfeit Drugs

America’s closed drug supply system gives American patients peace of mind knowing that their medicines are – for the most part – safe and effective and not substandard, adulterated or counterfeit.  Unfortunately, some critics have advocated risky proposals that would open our closed distribution system and allow drug products to come into the U.S. from all over the world.  This would include drug products that are not FDA-approved, as well as products that have not remained under the custody and control of a pharmaceutical company or subject to the jurisdiction of the Food and Drug Administration.

Some patients are particularly concerned about these importation proposals and the impact they could have on patient health.  Read more about what they have to say.
